A Sad Week

Hello there~
It is a sad day today...I am leaving at 6:30 am to go back to my hometown (Detroit) due to the fact that my mother has died. It's a complicated situation filled with all types of emotion...mainly loss and anger...perhaps I will take time to ponder it all on here someday...but not now-I simply have to endure the next few days....emotionally and physically-

Sweet "babyRuth"

Oh, my sweet babyRuth, you are the sunshine in my life! You are one in a million and now that you are four years old you are beginning to come into your own! You have now discovered the power you have over those that love you! You are definitely a "girly girl!" You require necklaces, purses, fairy costumes and your crowns...after all...you are the "Princess!" All of us have called you that since you were born and we have apparently talked you into it! You even wore your crown and had your fairy wand and beautiful dress on when you attended your brother's Christmas program! You were adorable...definitely dressed for the occasion! You were especially adorable when you attended Eli's basketball games...in your adorable cheerleader costume! Yes, my dear...you are my "girly girl!" My one regret is that I am not able to spend more days with you...with the damage from my 3 back surgeries and the Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that I continue to battle it's so hard for me to keep up with you-but know this...you are my sunshine...you and your brother and what keeps me fighting to beat this thing! I love you~

Down Memory Lane

Well...another week is here-full of promise and hope. I have finally made the decision to see a Rhumatologist...big step of faith here for sure. Although the pain from my Fibromyalgia is always with me the last 2 weeks have been a test of my faith and intestinal fortitude! The pain has been beyond description...and although I do not plan to use this blog to regale you with my Fibromyalgia journey I feel it's necessary to acknowledge that it exists.

I started working on a new Paper Bag Album...with a heritage feeling. This will be the first bag I have sewn my pages, so it's definitely a challenge...one that I can't wait to start! I have made so many pba's and truly enjoy them...but, this will be the first one for sale. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

This past Saturday was my son's birthday-how well I remember the day he was born...full of promise and hope. He was very premature and I remember I was almost afraid to hold him for fear he would break! I remember Mama came and stayed with his dad and I for the first two weeks-thank goodness as I had never even changed a diaper before! He has grown into a fine young man...one of which I am proud to call "son." He is an awesome father to my two amazing grandchildren (no bias there! lol) and a godly husband to my dear daughter in law, Laura. OK...time to get going today!

Good Morning Friends!

Today I am going to show you one of my favorite scrapbook pages...I did it aprox. a year ago and have since put it in a frame and hung it on the living room wall. I just finished a Wedding Album for a customer and will post the pics as soon as she receives it...I don't want to spoil the surprise! have a blessed day!

It's Winter!

Well...it's unusual for those of us in Western Kentucky to have much snow during the winter months. If anything we usually have horendous ice storms, such as we had a few years ago when the power was off for weeks! What a nightmare! Anyway, we had aprox. 6 inches two days ago and so far today it's 5 inches and isn't supposed to stop for several hours! Also...aren't you impressed??? I figured out how to upload a picture! Wow...perhaps there is hope for me yet!
